Web Design and Development
The creation and utilization of various elements of design, sound, and content to effectively communicate via a form of electronic publishing. From a single web page, to an entire site, blog, or ecommerce development. A variety of disciplines are employed in these projects, including graphic design, layout, HTML, XHTML, XML, navigation design, and content creation.
Graphic and Print Design
Utilizing a combination of graphics and text to communicate an effective message. A variety of techniques are employed when designing elements, such as sketches by hand, photographs, digital art, vector art, and typography. Common projects include logos, business cards, flyers, graphics, brochures, posters, t-shirts, signs, newsletters, cd covers, layouts, banners, advertisements, magazines, book covers, etc..
3d Design and Animation
The creation and manipulation of elements within a 3-dimensional environment for use in multimedia, graphics, film, and games. This type of design requires specialized skills, training, and a high level of creativity. It is commonly referred to as CGI (computer generated imagery) and is used to create a limitless amount of media, including figures/characters, creatures, environments, vehicles, prototypes, and architectural elements.
Visual Effects
The creation and manipulation of elements within film and video that aid in the appeal and storytelling of the subject matter. Visual effects (VFX) is most commonly used in conjunction with live-action elements to complete a shot or series of shots, giving them that extra wow factor and making them more engaging to your audience. Types of projects include color keying, matte painting, rotoscoping, CGI, particle effects, 3d characters and creatures, digital sets, set extensions, crowd replication, etc..
Video
The process of manipulating and arranging a set of moving images, often referred to as footage or clips, to create a new piece or work. Much of this process involves removing or rearranging footage, color correction, image enhancement and correction, transitions, and titling.
